Around SBN: Josh Hamilton's Unique Public Statement On His Addiction

Check out our new World Cup blog; All the cool kids are doin' it

SEATTLE – Thierry Henry, the stubborn suits at FIFA and about 4.25 million people on a little island just West of England would like to know how the world feels about handballs, resistance to modern technology and an individual’s responsibility to cop to the truth at the critical moment?

I’m talking, of course, about the Ireland-France brouhaha. Henry, in all fairness, had about three seconds to calculate how history would see his action and subsequent inaction. Should he have ‘fessed up?

It’s a real "thinky." Luckily, we’ve got someone around willing to tackle it. SB Nation has just added a new blog dedicated to world soccer. Richard Farley’s World Soccer Digest will mostly focus on South Africa 2010, but he’ll drop in some dandies and doozies on global soccer’s bigger picture, too.

Check it out when you can.

Meanwhile, for those of you who can’t wait for the rompin’ and stompin’ to start Sunday at Qwest in the MLS Cup, prime the pump with my piece in MLSnet.com on two managers in the final stretches of similar reclamation projects.
