Ever get invited to the cool kids’ table back in high school?

Well, I got invited to the cool kids’ table of sports blogging. My blog is now proudly attached to the burgeoning SB Nation empire. They are already high stepping in the end zone with football, basketball, baseball, etc., and they ask me to help pump a little more air into their soccer ball, so to speak. So here we are. Enjoy. Explore. Mostly, spread the word about DailySoccerFix.

Best part: now I have my own crest! How freakin’ cool is that? I haven’t decided where, but that bad boy will be tattooed somewhere by the afternoon.

Welcome to the club, Steve!

Just be careful, some of these cool kids like to spit milk through their nose at the other cool kids here at the SBN Table. Odd but true! :)

Sup Steve...

I clicked on the Soccer tab this morning on the left on my way to Global Futbol and saw your site was up. Looks great and I look forward to more consistent coverage of the worlds game on SB Nation from an American perspective. Your stuff is also solid and I will be a common visitor around here.

Cheers.

Really Excited

To have this on SB Nation. Will be fun to follow, especially leading up to the 2010 WC!

YES!

FInally, a soccer blog. Although if you jinx Arsenal into mediocrity, I’ll have you summarily booted.

Does anyone know if...

..there’s been any discussion about having and EPL set of blogs? Maybe not for all of the teams considering relegation, but it seems like there’s enough interest in the top 10 or so teams to warrant it. Maybe there’s just something about baseball blogs that attracts EPL fans though…

I'm glad this blog is up

I know that quite a few of us from the Texas Rangers blog are coming over here and are excited to see a soccer specific blog on SBN (in fact there are several of us already on this thread.) Keep up the good work.

Awesome to have you

I’ve read your stuff for a while and love it so it’s great to have you with SB Nation. I’ve been a part of SB Nation as a reader, writer and front pager so I’ve experienced it from all angles and can tell you that you’re in for a treat because SBN is superb. I can’t wait to read more of your stuff here and even do some posting of my own in the fanposts.

Glad to see the blog

I’ve enjoyed your work for Soccernet and covering FC Dallas for the Morning News. Looking forward to reading more.

Welcome

I am glad to see a domestic-based soccer blog on the network.

First question: Are you just surprised the Red Bulls won a game? Against FCD no less? I know I am!

nah ...

… the first match under a new coach / manager is always a good chance to pick up a W, in any sport. beaten down players suddenly see an opportunity to start fresh under a new watch. the team is still awful, but I’ve always heard great things about richie williams. i hope they give him a chance at the full-time post

Awesome.

I love to hate Real Madrid. They are like the Yankees of soccer.

So then it will spread and each MLS team’s fans will have one? The Philly Union haven’t started playing yet and have already sold more season tickets than the Sixers. We’ve been waiting for soccer a long time.

Is that true?

I hate on Philly because of the Eagles, but holy crap, that would be impressive.
