You read it here first: Galaxy's David Beckham may miss this weekend's MLS match
As the Los Angeles Galaxy travels to
LA Galaxy officials are traveling this morning, so I can’t reach anyone who can speak on the matter. But word on the street – and I only walk on very safe streets – is that David Beckham will remain behind in
I don’t have many details other than this: the issue is apparently injury-related, not a suspension or anything along those lines. And if it is injury-related, it’s probably nothing too serious. It would make sense that word of any serious injury would already have leaked.
It wouldn’t even shock me to see Beckham arrive tomorrow or even Saturday morning. Or, LA could play it extremely safe and give the league’s highest wage earner the weekend off.
I’m sure details will emerge as the day goes on – so stay tuned.
(Updated ... LA TImes blog now has a little more.)

Draw oh Sweet Draw
As a Dynamo fan I would love to see a draw here or at worst a galaxy win.
You’d rather give up your lead in the West? How about we beat LA, you stay atop your conference and we’ll see you in Seattle on November 22

What I’m hoping to see in your game is a 0-0 draw, which is very possible, whether Goldenballs is there or not.
Of course, since the last four points you guys got should have been a single one if not for the fact that the Crew go to ground when you breathe too hard in their general direction, then perhaps a LAG win is the most likely result. (Really, why aren’t you hanging your head in shame when Lenhart goes in with a flying kick and then has a penalty called against the guy he slammed into last week? That play is the poster child of MLS refs’ inadequacies.)
It would be fun to have the last three champs battle it out on Nov. 22 in Seattle. Dynamo ruined the Revs that way, and now we can ruin the Crew too.
