The Barcelona coach, Pep Guardiola, claims he has run out of superlatives to describe Lionel Messi following another stunning performance from the Argentinian forward with the club's president, Joan Laporta, hailing him as the best player of all time.
Messi hit three goals at Real Zaragoza, his second hat-trick in as many league games, to take his tally to 34 in all competitions and 11 in the last five matches – including two against Stuttgart in the Champions League on Wednesday.

He might be, right now, as dominant as any player ever
But a 23-year-old cant be the GOAT. Lets see him do work somewhere besides La Liga, which is an extremely unbalanced league due to the overall financial issues in Spain.
A WC win would also help a lot.

I mean Pele’s resume at the World Cup is a lot more than just one win. And the number of goals he scored was pretty unbelievable. This is just a case of the newest guy getting the hype. It happens all the time. But really at the end of the day it’s near impossible to compare the greats. So let’s just say that Messi and Ronaldo are on their way to becoming two of the all time greats alongside the likes of Maradona, Pele, Beckenbauer, Best, Cruyff and others.
