Talking Red Bull Arena, Man U, Man City and new blogs

All my writing mojo today went a piece that just went up at ESPN Soccernet. It’s about Red Bull Arena, which looks like the Shangri- and the La of U.S. Soccer Stadiums. But curiously, the hype seems a bit muted, so I kicked the Red Bull can down the street to see where it would go. Weigh in if you like.

Past that, I’m afraid the little pen in my brain is out of ink.

Instead, I’ll do what my pal Dave Clark did over at Sounder At Heart already: tip the valued Daily Fix readers to SB Nation’s newest soccer blogs. If you haven’t seen it, check out our new Manchester United blog. Yes, I know it’s a bit of a bummer weekend. But the sun will shine again on you Red Devils, I'm sure. And when it does, Noah Gordon will be there to tell you all about it at The Busby Babe. If you don’t know why a Man U blog would be known as The Busby Babe, bone up on your history here.

Across town, meanwhile, Manchester City is increasingly in the thick of things. So our new blog devoted to Mancini’s Mancs is at Bitter And Blue. It’s written from the UK by Danny Pugsley, who may be a bit blue and even a little bitter after seeing his team slog through an unsatisfying 0-0 draw with Liverpool.  So check it out, too.

SB Nation is continuing to build its soccer empire and you’ll soon be seeing the roster expand in force, starting with new blogs on MLS and EPL sides. Trust me on this. I know people.
