Around SBN: Will Rhymes 'Fine' After Being Hit By Pitch And Fainting

Fearless predictions for MLS Matchday 3

Photo

At the Home Depot Center in LA … I keep telling everyone, Preki did a lot to shine up a turd of a roster last year at Chivas USA. Now everyone is starting to see what kind of talent gap there really is for the HDC’s “other” team. Red Bull 1-Chivas USA 1.

At the Linc in Philly … Could it really be, three games and three losses for rebuilt United? Maybe, but home openers can be pretty tough on a young team, and Philly is mighty young. Union 1 – D.C. United 1

At Gillette Stadium in New England   This only applies if Preki hasn’t cut everyone on the roster, forcing a forfeit. NE finds tough sledding against a team learning how to play gritty, defensive Preki-ball. But they squeeze one in somehow. Revolution 1, TFC 0

At CommunityAmerica in the Heartland … Remember, no one in this league is ever as good or as bad as they seem in one match. KC comes back down to Earth a bit after slobber-knocking DC on opening week. Kansas City 2 – Colorado 2

At Robertson Stadium in sultry Houston Luis Angel Landin gets taken off, huffing and puffing for sure, in the 60th. Landon Donovan nets one at the other end. Houston 1 - Los Angeles 1

At PHP near the Oklahoma border … It’s a big match for Dallas, not quite as much for Columbus, which won its home opener two weeks ago. Dallas speed on the left might trouble fading Frankie Hejduk. Dallas 2 – Columbus 1

At Toyota Park in ChicagoCollins John has at least one in him tonight. San Jose has at lest one in them – this month. Chicago 2 - San Jose 0

At Rio Tinto in the Utah mountains … Adrian Hanauer says in an interview this week that Seattle’s scoring struggles won’t last all year. Uh, I like Hanauer and respect his work – but why is he being asked about matters on the field? I say, move back two spaces on the board ye Sounders! Real Salt Lake 2 – Seattle 0

Wow you

were almost as bad as I was last week, I blame it all on the early season and teams still trying to figure it all out. OR it could be that I just suck that bad.

Steve, now what do you think...

about our hometown club? 2 home games, 2 points. That’s just not very good. And now we have to go to Harrison and try to tame the Red Bulls this weekend. Not looking good at all. Not to mention its gonna take 5 home dates to equal 1 Seattle home date as far as attendance.
